Methodology

Each CPU and GPU gets a relative gaming performance index (flagship = 100), curated from aggregate benchmark data published by TechPowerUp, Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus.

The balance ratio compares how many frames the CPU can prepare against how many the GPU can render at the selected resolution. Higher resolutions shift the load to the GPU, so the same pair can be CPU-limited at 1080p yet perfectly balanced at 4K.

Ratings are estimates for typical AAA gaming. Esports titles are more CPU-hungry; productivity apps mostly follow multi-core CPU performance instead.
